BIO:Adega was born into a nomadic Mandalorian clan, and spent her childhood travelling the outer rim while her family worked as mercenaries. The Empire caught up with them when Adega was eight, and she lost everything. She spent some time being bounced around between other Mandalorian clans and working merc jobs, but lost much of her culture by the time she was a teenager. By then, she'd found something like a home with the smuggler Rukha, a Chadra Fan who had been an associate of Adega's clan. She'd hired Adega as a mercenary a few times, and eventually she became a permanent part of Rukha's crew. Rukha was involved with revolutionary groups such as Saw Gerrera's partisans and the Maya Pei brigade. This led Adega, a skilled pilot, to being recruited by the Rebel Alliance.
Adega was an X-Wing pilot and survived the Battle of Scarif at the age of only 18, but her ship was badly damaged and she was injured. She was grounded during the Battle of Yavin, and soon after was assigned to Nova Squadron, which was stationed aboard The Oracle. While whith Nova Squadron, they were engaged in a battle in which The Oracle was destroyed. The surviving piolts formed Oracle squadron, which was stationed aboard the ship The Lantern. During her time with Oracle, Adega began a relationship with fellow pilot Jahni Amargosa, a source of both comfort and distress for the both of them. This was not the ideal time to be falling for anyone.
On a mission with Oracle Squadron, Adega was captured and put into an Imperial Prison. She was almost ready to resign to her fate, but as luck would have it, her cellmate recognized her last name; she was a fellow Mandalorian. She knew Adega's mother when they were children; they had trained together. Adega found herself confronted with culture she'd missed out on and it rekindled her spirit. She convinced her new friend to come to the Alliance with her, the two formed a close bond and lead a prison break.
Adega and her new companion made their way back to the Rebel Alliance, just in time to help in the setting up of a new base on the planet Hoth. Oracle Squadron was severely diminished, and Adega found herself promoted to Commander.
