GFFA Funerary Practices, expanded.

These are funerary practices in the GFFA that I've either entirely written myself, or based off of what little we know about the canon funeral practices. In my job as a mortician I have worked with tons of different cultures and religions, and studied even more, and I used a lot of this knowledge to craft what I think certain Star War's planets and races would practice. I've linked real-world examples where appropriate, as well as sources for canon funerary customs. Jedi Funerals

The Jedi practice different funeral customs based upon the culture the Jedi in question comes from, circumstances of death, location, and stated preference of the individual. They do have a lot of superstitions around death, most of which are based in the belief that death should not be hidden behind closed doors.

Jedi embrace all cultures. In the event of an unplanned death of a Jedi on a planet where they do not live, the Jedi are happy to embrace local customs. A good example of this is Qui-Gon's death, where his funeral followed the Naboo customs.
